Summer - 2024

Summer Release (2024)

Summer and nostalgia kinda go hand in hand, don’t they? For this release, we’re all about reliving the golden days and the adventures of seasons gone by—and we’ve brought the sips to keep you company while you make a new batch of memories.

Every Wine Has a Story to Tell

Une Femme Vera

California Sparkling Brut

Mendocino County, Anderson Valley, California • NV

This Cali-born sparkling brut delivers aromatic notes of honeysuckle, orange blossom, and Meyer lemon peel on the nose. Once poured, the flavors of crisp Asian pear, white peach, and Central Valley fruits shine with subtle hints of green apple and jasmine. Soft, elegant, and wholly woman-made, this exclusive Une Femme x Postino collab will be your summer anthem in a glass.

An Une Femme X Upward Projects Collaboration.

What to eat: Oysters, anyone? Any fresh seafood or charcuterie is flawless with a glass of this.

Mother Block

Red Blend

Murray Darling, Victoria • 2023

One word: Gulpable. Starring imported Italian Nero d’Avola, Sagrantino, Teroldego, and Sangiovese, this Australian-vinted wine was co-fermented and features aromatics like pomegranate, riberry, plum and cherry alongside more savory aspects from Szechuan peppercorn, licorice, river mint and sesame. This particular vintage (2023) had a late ripening, all to your benefit—the result was exceptional fruit and a fresh, aromatic lift.

What to eat: This one is super food-friendly, so bring it to a summer BBQ or potluck where mystery’s on the menu.

Stand

Chardonnay

Clarksburg, California • 2023

Bright, crisp, and sans any imprint of oak. This chard is like sunshine season, bottled—whole-cluster pressed and fermented with a special strain that produces intense aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, and white flowers. Expect palate nods to Golden Delicious apple, pineapple, lemon custard, and Greek yogurt.

Produced by Three Wine Company.

What to eat: Grilled fish or dishes that are citrus or herb-forward are an instant win.

Into The Woods

Syrah

Santa Rosa, California • 2023

This intriguing sip features mostly Syrah straight from the certified organic vines in Potter Valley’s Vecino Vineyard, but a few grapes harvested from Chalone, the Santa Cruz Mountains, and ancient vine Carignane in Redwood Valley round it out. Dark rich fruit and smooth tannins are right up front, but follow this one deeper down the trail and you’ll pick up the roasted, smoky characters that’s Syrah’s signature. Aged in a combo of French oak foudres and barrique.

A Folk Machine X Upward Projects Collaboration.

What to eat: Bring on all things robust and savory—from roast beef to a juicy burger.
